Wanted: core mentor for 02:00 UTC Tuesday (= 10:00p EDT Monday)

For well over a year now, I've been committing 4, 6, sometimes 10 or more hours per week to core contribution mentoring. Core mentoring has helped literally hundreds of people contribute to Drupal for the first time, and thanks to lots of encouragement and support from many members of the community, just about anyone asking how to contribute to Drupal will hear about core mentoring in IRC and at Drupal events.

Since January of this year, and especially in the past month, several people have stepped up to mentor new contributors during our Wednesday timeslot at 16:00 UTC (noon EDT). However, it's harder to find additional mentors for the timeslot at 02:00 Tuesday UTC (which is midday Tuesday in Asia and Australia, and Monday night in North America). This timeslot usually attracts 3-5 participants each week, some of whom are typically in India or East Asia, and others who are spending an evening with Drupal in the US or Canada.

I'm looking for one or more contributors who can commit 1-2 hours to mentoring others during the Monday timeslot regularly--not necessarily each week, but preferably on some sort of set schedule. Your role would be to monitor the #drupal IRC channel during that timeslot and help interested contributors (some of whom do not speak English as a first language) work on tasks from core.drupalofficehours.org. (For details, see our mentor instructions.) I'll mentor alongside you until you get the hang of it, and I can answer any questions you have. Eventually, I'd like to step down from facilitating core mentoring on my Monday evenings.

Interested in helping out? Contact me via my d.o profile, or ping me anytime in IRC. Thanks, and see you in the issue queue!
