Drupal 7 Imagefield Crop Module

Parent Feed:

Episode Number:

37

Have you ever wanted to be able to select how the image gets cropped when you upload an image to Drupal? If so, you are in luck with the Drupal 7 Imagefield Crop module. This module will allow you to upload an image and immediately select a cropped region from the image for display purposes.

In this module you will learn:

  • How to use the Drupal 7 Imagefield Crop module to allow you to select which portion of an uploaded image to display
  • How to make sure the cropped image is rendered at the highest possible quality

Note: I made a minor mistake saying that the quality of the image would get better when changing the image style size. When using the scale operation, the aspect ratio of the image remains unchanges. So what I was doing did not affect the quality of the image, I only affected the size the image was displayed as.
