Congratulations to the Drupal community. Today, they released Drupal 8!
It has been an epic journey to get here. Back in March 2011, we sat in the audience at DrupalCon Chicago and listened to Dries' plans for Drupal 8. To get from Chicago to today has taken over 1770 days, 3000 contributors and 350,000 lines of code.
Drupal 8 is far larger, more powerful and more modern than anything Drupal has released before.
How to get started with Drupal 8
You can download Drupal 8 here.
If you want to learn how to use Drupal 8, we've published the 62 videos of our Drupal 8 Beginner class for free on YouTube. This class is a practical, step-by-step guide to all that's new and cool in Drupal 8.

This class was made possible thanks to the sponsorship of Acquia. A huge thank you goes to Dries, Renée and the whole Acquia team up in Boston.
These videos are the first of 200 free videos we're going to release. Over the next few months, look for these classes also:
How will this impact Drupal training at OSTraining?
We do still have plans to release new Drupal 7 classes. Almost all our current Drupal customer are on Drupal 7 and we plan to continue supporting you.
However, over the next few months, we will start to focus on Drupal 8. If you're an OSTraining member, you will get advertising-free versions of the classes released on YouTube, plus many members-only Drupal 8 classes.
